This and that

We had a wonderful but exhausting Christmas. We had the stomach flu on Wed last week, and thankfully we were recovered by the evening, but it was a rough day. Being sick completely threw off my attempts at being organized going into the marathon of family events starting Christmas Eve. So I ended up staying up until 2:45 a.m. on Christmas Eve wrapping for Bill's family, and then I was up until 4 a.m. on Christmas morning wrapping and baking for my family and of course playing Santa.

Bill was demoted from co-Santa to junior elf when he passed out on the couch at 1:30 both nights...

This resulted in pure exhaustion which always results in tension and arguments in our household... Note to self: sensitive topics are only to be brought up when both parties have had sufficient amounts of sleep equaling no less than 8 hours!

In other news, we went to visit close friends in the hospital last night. Welcome to the world Cecilia Catherine!! She is beautiful; I got to hold her for an entire hour, and it's official people... I have BABY FEVER. Sigh.

It is also official that now that we have no medical need to avoid pregnancy, our will power is back down to negative 1.... So, we will see what happens over the next month or two. If I get a positive test, I will let you all know first, but if you know me in real life, you are SWORN TO SECRECY!

Also, in the event that I do get pregnant, I plan on keeping this blog the same as always with limited mention of my kiddos. They are obviously such a huge part of my world and life, but I tend to use this space more for my own thoughts and reflections on my womanhood rather than motherhood.

I do have a private blog where I gush about all the happenings of my sweet little girls and our family life, and if you are interested in reading that one, I am happy to invite you, just shoot me an email. :)

I am getting very excited for New Year's Eve! :) We are making fondue and spending time with friends. Can't wait! :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
