Why I love my Husband (2)

We have been together for 8 1/2 years and married for 3 1/2, and through the years we have had our ups and downs. He is my best friend, and he pushes me to be a better person, but we are both passionate, opinionated people with quick tempers. Naturally, this leads to some fantastic drama at times!

Yet being married to Bill is a blessing, and life with him is never dull and absolutely full of faith, love, and laughter. :)

However, in every marriage, there are those moments over the years, usually just after a huge argument, when bubbles of doubt rise to the surface. Whispers of "I didn't sign up for this..." fight to be entertained.

At this moment, love becomes a choice. A choice to put on my big girl pants and give myself a shot of humility.

I love knowing that as difficult as it is to swallow my pride, Bill is always willing to do the same, and we never fail to come out stronger and more in love.

Marriage requires us to stretch ourselves into holier, better people, and I feel so blessed to have been given a partner who is willing to stretch to Heaven and back for me.

Thank you, God, for putting such a wonderful man in my life!

  5. Oh, and it also reminded me of St. Gianna, that was her mantra "Love is a choice". St. Gianna, pray for us!
