We are overjoyed to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant! I know I promised before that I would announce when I got a positive test, but when that day came, I was suddenly feeling very private about everything. My nerves and anxiety were getting the best of me since the molar pregnancy was still fresh in my mind.
However, after several rounds of blood work and two ultrasounds so far, things are looking very good. I started to breathe easier at 6 weeks when we saw and heard the heartbeat on the ultrasound, but I was still uneasy that something was going to go wrong.
I had another ultrasound at 7 weeks 1 day, and everything still looked fantastic! No signs of molar growth at all! Since then, I have had one other unofficial ultrasound at 10 weeks that looked great!
I am so excited, but I have to say that being a part of this blogger community has made me so very aware of how precious my fertility is. I have to say that every moment of joy has been tempered with the knowledge that so many of my sisters in Christ have struggled with infertility for years.
I know that some would say I shouldn't let anything lessen my happiness, but I can't help it that a part of my heart breaks with the knowledge that I have been blessed with a third child when so many others haven't been able to conceive at all.
I have been offering up every moment of nausea and discomfort for all of you ladies still waiting for your little ones. You have been fervently in my prayers every day, and I anxiously wait to rejoice with you girls when it is your time.

ReplyDeleteWhen I told a friend that another friend was expecting recently, she responded with "So are you pissed at her?" which naturally made me break into tears. Not because I was, but because she thought I would be...I agree it is a complicated emotional response, there's no denying it and I appreciate your tenderness, but please know that it is never that we aren't happy for you and happy for this MIRACLE. Which it is. It always is! I sincerely hope you never feel bad! Congrats again!
Congratulations...iam so happy things have been going well for you!

Of course it's still in the back of our heads about when we can have one, but in no way does that mean we don't want others to get pregnant. I know you know that...I just wanted to confirm it. Congrats!! I am so happy for you and your family. And trust me, the best thing you can do for you infertile friends is to really appreciate your fertility, as you are doing. Nothing irkes me more than seeing people take it for granted which is certainly not the case with you! I appreciate your compassion and sensitivity. :)
