1. I am feeling so much better the last couple of days! My blood supply seems to be mostly back up to normal now, and I am able to be active without getting a headache! Thanks again for all your prayers!
2. I laughed when I saw Danya's post about tattoos because I had already planned to make my tattoo the subject of one of my quick takes. I have a butterfly on my hip that I carefully placed so that it wouldn't stretch during pregnancies, and after two babies it still looks perfect! I did it my senior year of college when I was student teaching and couldn't go on senior spring break with my friends. haha I remember putting the $50 deposit down the day before, and I remember thinking, "If I hadn't put that money down, there is a good chance I would have chickened out!" Most people are shocked to find out that I have a tattoo, and I remember seeing the incredulous looks on the faces of friends that never would have pegged me as someone who would get a tattoo!
3. I love Chinese food, and I judge the quality of a restaurant's food by their crab rangoon. The creamy crabby goodness nestled in the middle of a fried wonton wrapper = food perfection! We ordered Chinese food from a new place last week, and I was sorely disappointed. My favorite place is 15 minutes away from us, but I thought we could try the place 2 minutes away instead since it had good internet reviews. I was sorely disappointed... the crab rangoon was too sweet and quality egg drop soup is not neon yellow in color and doesn't require me to add salt! It made me realize how silly I was for thinking that driving the extra time wasn't necessary...
4. I am a sanguine phlegmatic by temperament, and I find temperaments to be fascinating, and I love to the book The Temperament God Gave You. If you know your temperament, what are you?
5. I love my "Magnificat" subscription! It was a Christmas gift, and it keeps me on track with my prayers. Being a sanguine, I need structure in my life since I am not naturally good at imposing it on myself. The "Magnificat" is honestly perfect for me! I love the morning prayers, and I love the daily meditations!
6. Bill had an interview yesterday that went incredibly well! He really dislikes his current job, and he came home yesterday floating on air. The new job would be within his current company, but it is in a totally different area, and things are looking really good! The guy who would be his new boss actually told his current boss, that he was 99% certain that they would be losing Bill from their team. Please pray that this opportunity works out, God willing. I have been praying for years that Bill would get a new job that he enjoyed. It is so difficult to see my wonderful husband so bogged down with a job that I know he only tolerates to support our family.
7. My grandparents are coming this weekend to visit! I am so exited to see them, and they get to meet Lucy for the first time! I feel guilty that she is already 10 months old, but they live 4 hours away, and the way the chips fell this year, we weren't able to make any of the family events on that side of the family this year. They are a wonderful example of Catholic marriage, and they have been married for 55 years! They are actually the reason that I started our family blog. My Gramma is probably my most faithful reader, and it is wonderful how the internet has a way of making the world a little bit smaller!
I REALLY hope he gets the job!! And I mentioned the name Lucy to my husband yesterday (not for this one, but hopefully one in the future) and he really liked it! Maybe I'll have a Lucy someday....
ReplyDeleteLove the name Lucy!! So sweet! I pray your husband gets a job he loves... what a relief that would be.
ReplyDeleteI love the temperaments too. I am a melancholic-sanguine (I know, weird combo). Have you read "The Temperament God Gave Your Spouse"? It made me laugh because it pegged me and FI pretty well (he is a Phlegmatic-Choleric)!
Now I'm very intrigued - one of the girls at my church has mentioned "Magnificat" before and it sounds like something that I could use (structure is not my strong point either).
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for commenting on my blog today - be sure to come back the rest of the week for the next 3 posts.
