1. I am off to Chicago tomorrow on my own with a couple of dear friends! Bill offered me the chance to get away for a night, and I am definitely getting excited. :) It will be a low key weekend of catching up with old friends.
2. I really enjoy sushi, and I am so thankful that Bill and I both have expansive palates because he loves sushi too! My favorite is the Philadelphia roll with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and cucumber!
3. So far in my many attempts at praying the Rosary daily, I always fall off the wagon after a few weeks. However, one Marian devotion that I tend to do well with is praying the Angelus at noon. I set my phone alarm to go off, and it is the best reminder! I look at it as a first step towards greater devotion to our Blessed Mother.
4. I started a new job today babysitting a 4 month old little boy in our home. It is only one to two days a week, and I think it is going to be a good fit. It will be nice to have a little extra cash to rebuild our savings. It has been an eventful year between buying a house, having a baby, breaking my wrist which required surgery back in October, renovating our master bedroom, installing a paver patio, and now this molar pregnancy business. This job kind of fell into my lap, and the little boy is so sweet. :)
5. I think with the stress of everything lately, I have developed TMJ. I'm having trouble opening my mouth all the way without discomfort, and sometimes when I chew it clicks and pops. Looks like I'll be going to see my brother in law the dentist!
6. I made brownies tonight with Avery, and I am looking forward to a brownie and a glass of milk after I hit "Publish Post."
7. I am so thankful for all of my wonderful new blogger friends and readers. You ladies are amazing, and I am so grateful for all of your love, prayers, and support. I love reading all the blogs, and I am praying for all of you!
Oh my goodness I have advice for TMJ. Get a cork from a bottle of wine and PUT A CORK IN IT!!! Put the cork between your front teeth and bite down, relaxing your jaw. It will feel strange for a bit, but then you can literally feel your muscles relaxing. This has been HUGE for me and I literally always have a cork in my purse for such stressful occasions. I rarely need to use it- but it stops stress in its tracks. TRY IT! (and oh gee...guess you'll have to get a bottle of wine!)
ReplyDeleteThe Angelus is a great idea!
