1. Bill got the job!! He is so excited, but he is being a little cautious until all the details are ironed out! So any extra prayers would still be appreciated!
2. Bill was out of town this week for his current job, and I am so thankful for our security system! I always wanted one growing up, but my phlegmatic parents never saw the point. :) My dad always said, "There are much bigger houses less than a mile away. Why would they choose our house?"
I never agreed with this perspective, and we had a security system installed the week we moved in!
3. If any of you ladies enjoy a good Riesling wine, try a bottle of Gevurstraminer! It is one of my favorite white wines. :) Did I mention that I took a wine class in college? It was my favorite class in college, haha. We tasted three wines every week with bread and cheese. FANTASTIC!
4. I had my second blood draw today to monitor my hormone levels. The last draw went really well last week, and my levels were all the way down to 58! Before the D&C they were at 68,000 so they were very happy with that, and if my levels go down below 2 this time, then I won't have to go back for a month at least. We have been really strict with the Creighton Model, so I'm not worried, but I have an irrational fear that they are going to call on Monday and say that my levels have gone up due to pregnancy. Again, I have no foundation for this concern, but this is when I just need to hand it all over to God.
5. I got my first pay check for my new job! I'm so excited to put it directly in to savings!
6. My birthday is August 27th, and my friend sent me an early birthday gift in the mail yesterday. Three cute tops from Old Navy! I had just told her that I felt like I was becoming that mom who doesn't ever shop for herself. So she saw fit to remedy that, and I love her for it! I just have a difficult time justifying spending money on clothes for me when our savings account is only just above zero, and our budget is tight with all the medical bills and expenses of the past year.
7.1 I love water! I carry around a 32 oz. BPA free Nalgene bottle, and it helps me keep track of how much I am drinking. Decaf coffee, water, and milk are my favorite beverages. :)
7.2 I decided to make my family blog private, and I took it off my profile. If any of you ladies were reading it and would like to continue reading it, please feel free to email me at heartofstmonica@gmail.com with your email, and I will send you an invitation. :)
Unfortunately, I had already written a great deal of specific details about our family before realizing the potential dangers, and I hadn't done a very good job of keeping it under the radar.
Congrats on the new job for dh! I love our security system too, and...that is my FAVORITE wine! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the job!! A wine class would have been so much fun! I would have felt so super classy!
