1. I am not a punctual person as hard as I try to be! I always underestimate the amount of time it will take me to accomplish something.
2 . When I was in 6th grade, my gym class and my English class were on opposite sides of the building, and after gym, I never had enough time to get cleaned up and dressed, stop at my locker, and get all the way to class. As a result, I was tardy on a regular basis, and one particular day, I was only one tardy away from getting a detention. This seemed like the most awful thing at the time, so I rushed to get to class even though I had to go to the bathroom very badly. I made it to class on time, and I ran out into the hall to get my teacher to sign my bathroom pass. As I was standing there, I peed my pants.... all over my new shoes.... My teacher was so nice and she took me to the nurse who then completely embarrassed me asking if it was my period or if this was a chronic problem...
3. I went jeans shopping last night with my sister, and I got skinny jeans! My sister has always been the fashionable one, and I have always been more shall we say classic. haha aka: I haven't bought new jeans since college... After going on and on about how I didn't think I could pull them off, I got these. I really like them and feel pretty hot wearing them. haha But does anyone else remember when tapered jeans was a dirty word?? Funny how fashion trends are cyclical.
4. We are going to the pumpkin patch tomorrow with the girls, and I can't wait!
5. My brother in law surprised me and got me a new calendar, and I love it!! It is the Saints Calendar & Daily Planner! It is fantastic! It has all the feast days, holy days, fasting days, etc. And in the front is an extensive list of patron saints of various causes, and there is even a list of doctors of the Church! It even has both pre and post Vatican II calendars!
6. Joy Beyond the Cross thinks that I should have Bill write a guest post. :) I will ask him if he would be interested.
7. My mother in law came this morning and cleaned for me! She is wonderful, and I feel blessed to have such a good relationship with her. :) She comes every other Friday, and it is so nice to have fresh start to the weekend.
Happy Friday!

LOVE THOSE JEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
ReplyDelete(I'm such a LOFT girl. I rarely by clothes, but when I do- it's more than likely the Loft!)
AWESOME MIL!!!!!
Bring it on, Bill!
Have fun at hte patch! Pics, please!
I want a dh guest post!! Those are always fun!
ReplyDeleteYou should have Bill do it. My DH got a big kick out of it and he liked reading the comments people left! Oh, and I love the LOFT. Sigh....though I will not be in the skinny jeans anytime soon. Good for you. I have am hoping to get there someday.
ReplyDeleteI was looking for skinny jeans for almost 2 years (that would fit me and not make me feel completely awkward in public.. ;)) and found some at Loft a few weeks ago, too!!! :)
ReplyDeleteand I feel SO BAD for you about that 6th grade story! I finally had to get a doctors note to go to the bathroom in highschool! We had this program where if you weren't in your classroom on time, they'd close all the doors and you'd get sent to the auditorium and get 0 on your homework, assignments, tests, anything you had in class that day!!! SCARY!!! One time I was late for class at one of THOSE times and my teacher wouldn't let me in! Luckily one of the administrators saw me heading into the auditorium and gave me a note and sent me back to class. PHEW. I think we were pretty similar in highschool, Megan! haha I was so nervous about getting in trouble. Goody-two-shoes. ;)
Are you sure you should be looking that hot around hubs? 'Love a girls shopping day - so fun! Now DO NOT put those things in the dryer, or they'll be obscene and you won't be able to wear them around your children. I peed my pants in HS once too, although it wasn't IN the high school, it was in my gramma's bed - with her in it. I about died! All I remember is dreaming that I was on the toilet... She was so sweet and quietly changed all the bedding without mentioning a word. 'Love that woman.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I think middle and high school can just be cruel!!! Your story reminded me of our own crazy rules... like having a 20-minute lunch (when the lunch-line was 30 minutes long haha) at 10:30 am. Gee, I wonder why I was starving and couldn't concentrate for most of my day?
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on the skinny jeans!! I am still holding out on that... I honestly think they will make me look 12 years old. Maybe I'll try the Loft too... I do like that store.
