1. I made my pumpkin pie from fresh pumpkin last weekend, and it turned out great! It only required one or two extra steps, and it was well worth it!
2. I have been burning the Autumn Leaves scent from Yankee Candle lately, and it is definitely my favorite fall scent! I can't believe it's almost time to break out the Christmas candles!
3. These look freaking AMAZING! Definitely on my must make list.
4. I have been contemplating putting a recipe tab on my blog... I'm no Pioneer Woman, but I do enjoy cooking and baking and sharing recipes that we enjoy!
5. I am considering signing up for a 5K next month...I might be crazy... ;)
6. I have to admit that I love the Harry Potter books (gasp!)... I don't think that I would let my kids read them until high school because some of the content gets a little dark, but I lean toward the opinion that it is mere fantasy, and good wins out in the end! However, I have no intention of seeing the movie until it comes out on DVD... the books are so much better!
7. I am sooo excited for Advent prayer buddies!! Thank you to JBTC and TCIE for organizing!
Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone! :)
Also head on over to Conversion Diary for more Quick Takes!

I've been burning the same candle this week! :) It's my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the Harry Potter books. It's all about sacrificial love! :) I generally can't stand the movies (they butchered Goblet of Fire), but they always do such a good job with the trailers that I go see them. Sigh. I have no will power! lol
I love Harry, too, and am trying to figure IF and HOW I can see the movie. I can't imagine leaving Abigail for that long- even with her Daddy...but I really want to see the movie. Decisions...:)
ReplyDeletePumpkin: A friend and I made pumpkin soup from sugar pumpkins for the first time about a month ago...LOVE IT...which leads me to the next...
ReplyDeleteRecipes: Have you been to: www.allrecipes.com ?
Great selection of recipes (I just recommend reading the comments on something if you ahve never made it before because sometimes the tweaks they offer in comment are a lot better than the original.)
I vote you bring #3 to the cookie exchange this year because they sound delicious and I don't think I can make them myself!!
ReplyDeleteI also love the HP books! I enjoy the movies too, but only at home. I might have seen one or two of the first ones in the theater, but actually haven't been to a movie theater in almost 5 years!!
I am going to make pumpkin pies from canned pumpkin for Thanksgiving this year and am darn proud of it! HA HA!
I am participate in the prayers buddies for the first time and am excited to see who I get to pray for!
My kids (the oldest four) went to see the movie and LOVED it. They also LOVE the books! I've never read them myself....
ReplyDeleteSo excited for prayer buddies!!
Yay for fresh pumpkin pie (my pie pumpkin is sitting in our living room, staring at me), Harry Potter, cookies, and prayer buddies. I love this time of year! And if you start a recipe tab... I may have to try some. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the HP books too, and Lauren, take her with you! We took M to a movie when she was about 4 months old and she was fine (other than a poop incident, but that was pretty routine ;)
